How to use the built-in rom patcher within Project Lunar

  1. Download your patch and put it in the IPS folder inside lunar_data(You can download all our pre-built M2Engage IPS patches here)
    (You can access this folder by pressing F3 within the game manager or selecting it in the tool menu within game manager.
  2. Make sure the patch name is exactly the same as the rom name, except the extension, e.g.:
    • ROM name: Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 3 (W) [!].bin
    • IPS name: Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 3 (W) [!].ips
  1. Add a game, and it will automagically find the IPS patch and apply it.

Notes:

  • RLE patch function hasn’t been tested.
  • The patched ROM is written to the same folder as the IPS patches. The original rom will not be modified.
  • The patched ROM is not removed from the IPS folder after sync. This can be added later if people want it.
